We continue our cruise leaving Ghost city away. There are abundant collections of cultural relics, carvings, hung coffins on cliff and secretly-built ways hiding among the mountains. Shi Bao Zhai is a typical example. It is a 12-stories wood red pavilion hugging a rectangular cliff. What an amazing architecture it is! How it was built 1,000 years ago is still remained us a question. After a while, we come to the famous White Emperor city. Many Chinese poems are said to be found here. So it got a romantic title--Poem City housing many cultural relics and carvings. Ever-green bamboo trees cover the lakes, thatches-roof houses and tranquil gardens. It is obviously that the poets can not stop creating many celebrated works when they come into this fairy land.
Passing several other river corners and cliffs by, I saw the water runs upside and down in my private balcony. We drifted into the most beautiful scenery of Yangtze River¡ªThe Lesser Three Gorge's river. Many peaks beside tells you some moving stories; Fairy Lady Peak is said to be left by a standing smart lady when she was waiting for her lover by river bank. But she still stood by for any news; after thousands of years, her figure became a stone figure on top of a peak. As the river turned rapidly down, Shennong Stream appeared in front of us. It is said that the wild men still live inside now. The fragrant scents of wild flowers come out the forest; a lot of would-be extinctive animals spent their casual life year in and year out. Times by times, some birds twitter amongst forest with their melody sounds; and heavy dews linger on the green grass.
In the fourth day of our cruise, we arrived at Yichang in Hubei Province; the Three Gorge's Dam Site is at the sight of us. It is the greatest water conservatory project in the world. The river boomed down the dam straightly with sprawling foam like a titanic waterfall from heaven. In the next few years, some of these precious natural beauties, including some antique temples and historic reminds will lose for ever by the Dam project. Why don't we have the best cruise at this moment?
Hooting was our Victoria Prince on in the morning; we were reluctant to leave the ship. The exciting Yangtze River Cruise is over; but my heart will not leave the Cruise for ever.
