Tea is one of the three major beverages. The other two are coffee and cocoa. Chinese tea is one of China 's specialties and traditional exports. According to historic record, China began to grow tea about 2,000 years ago in the Warring States Period.
There are many benefits of drinking tea. Drinking tea will not only quench thirst, overcome fatigue, but also help digestion. Apart from that, tea leaves contain some aromatic substances that can dilute fat. It is said that a cup of tea per day would do good to one who has been stuffed with fat. Tea is rich in various vitamin, especially Vitamin C. According to scientist research recently, tea also has the effect of protecting radiation. Tea can also be used as an antiseptic. In the past, for instance, people in the remote areas in China would use tea to wash boils and wounds for sterilization and healing.
Chinese tea can be divided into five categories, namely, green tea, black tea, jasmine tea, Wulong tea, and brick tea.
Green Tea : Green tea is the oldest kind of Chinese tea. Green tea is the variety, which keeps the original color of the tea leaves without fermentation during processing. Green tea is made by firing the leaves to dry them. The most famous green tea are the West Lake Dragon Well Tea in Zhejiang Province , Maofeng of Huangshan Mountain in Anhui Province and Biluochun produced in Jiangsu Province .
