Over 60 years has passed since the new China was born. Still there are a lot of living stories worthy to be recollected by most Chinese. Really, many Chinese people especially those who were born in 1970' could never forget that simple but interesting childhood life even up to now.

Furthermore, a great deal of once prohibited concepts and customs have been emancipated from Chinese "Culture Revolution". But China was still very young at that moment; most of them were still having a simple life. A young male can be easily accepted by his girlfriend's family as long as he owned only a TV set, a refrigerator and a washing machine. Even if a worker's one-month-salary is no more than 100RMB, he can still save up his whole family's life. All in all, everything was very cheap at that time.

Foreigners are still very strange towards Chineses in 1980'
Running private business or watching foreign films was not regarded as modeling "bourgeoisie living style"any more; they could enter into a wedding ceremony hall wearing western coat or white skirt without any hesitation. But sometimes they may feel quite strange towards those authentic foreign concepts like "living separately with one's parents" which they can not understand.

Disco dance is extraordinarily loved by young people
In 1980', Chinese people are still making progress in many aspects. The gap between China and Western countries are becoming smaller and smaller. Under these young people's simple and not gorgeous clothes, a confident and progressive expectation is bringing up in their heart.
