Glimpse of China
Mo Tzu

Mo Tzu (468BC-376BC) was born at the end of Spring and Autumn Period (770BC-476BC) in China. He was a man good at handicraft, especially on city defense techniques. He was a great scholar and his principle thought is "Universal love and no war commanding."

A king of State Chu liked to talk about national strategy with his many talent ministers.

One day, the king of State Chu wanted to attack a less powerful State Song. On heard of the news, Mo Tzu hurried up to persuade King Chu to cancel the war.

But another minister Ban still insisted on advocating the war.

King Chu could not decide whose opinion was right; so he let Mo Tzu and Ban have a contest each other. Mo Tzu then took out his belt as a model of city wall and got ready to defense the city wall. Ban took out a model of wood ladder as to attack the wall.
