In Beijing, you don't need to worry about which cities you can not reach for there are more than 30 international airlines destined to most cities in the world.
The bus service, from airport to city center, is provided at airport (16 RMB each).
The taxi accounts 1.2--2 RMB per kilometer after 3 kilometers; the starting price is 10 RMB.
But the taxi also accounts by time acclamations; 5 min's taxi waiting will account 1 km's fee and a higher fee after 11 o'clock at night.
The public bus owns an enough supply all over the city; and pedicab is also very popular for Hutong tour. Besides that, almost every hotel provides the bicycle rental service for those free visitors ( 30 RMB per day ) which is pretty interesting.
The metro ticket is normally 3--5 RMB for whole distance. You'd better tour out of the rush hour (7:30--9:00 am; 17:0--19:00 pm).
You can easily find the tour bus at most places and the price is no more than 100 RMB for each site. As the sceneries in Bejing are rather separated each other, so it is a convenient choice.
Food and Drink
In Beijing, you can enjoy a large variety of the dishes, snack food and local flavors from deluxe royal banquet to ordinary family dumplings (like Beijing Roast Duck in QuanJuDe restaurant).
About 70% bars and night clubs surround Sanlitun area; the tourists can enjoy an enthusiastic night life and have a sight of Chinese modern fashion pioneer, because here is not only a cradle of Chinese ancient civilization but also a hub of the different Chinese modern art.
City Sightseeing
You can sit down at a corner of the Tiananmen Square after a day's hard tour. Then go for the Beijing Roast Duck at a deluxe restaurant; later on, you can have a lazy walk along the city wall side while some people are playing kites and Taiji in the darkness. Sometimes you can hear the melodious Beijing Opera slightly floating across the sky.
Wangfujing is a famous commercial street like American Wall Street, the visitors can spend his entire day buying anything he wants. Very bustled and noisy, but the shopping architectures are fairly brilliant and traditional.
Hutong tour is an interesting choice. With a pedicab shuttling among the zigzag lanes, you will be soon attracted by the tranquil Chinese courtyards full of green grass and red flowers. A hawker happens to face with you when he rides a bicycle on a lane; or you may find some elder people chatting and sewing under the sunlight.
