Upon departure, you must fill the Exit Registration Card. All the declared items must be brought out of China at the end of the trip, or else import duty will be charged on them. If an item declared upon entry is lost while in China, depending upon the value of the item, it is necessary to file a report with the relevant department.
Items or articles that have been kept by the customs department upon your entry can be returned back to you when you leave China , except ones that have expired the dates.
Regulations on export items are as follows
► The total value of traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese medical products can not exceed CNY 300 to abroad and CNY 1500 to Hong Kong and Macau .
► The total amount of Chinese currency cannot exceed RMB 6000
► you must present your purchasing receipt if you intend to take gold or silver items bought in China abroad.
► Antiques are not permitted to leave China without the proper "Certificates for the Export of Cultural Relics" from Chinese Authorities.
The following export items are prohibited:
► All the prohibited import items or articles
► Printed materials, films, photographs, CDs, videos and others that have something to do with national confidential information.
► Precious cultural relics and other prohibited export cultural relics
► Endangered animals and plants, including breeding materials and seeds.
