Passport
A passport is an internationally recognized travel document that verifies the identity and nationality of the owner. It is also a necessary document when traveling or doing other affairs outside one's own country. A valid passport is required to visit China . The Chinese government requires that your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the expiry date of your visa.
Please take care of your passport during your period of traveling. It will be a very problem to lose your passport when traveling in China . Getting a new one takes both time and money. However, if you will be staying in China or any foreign country for a long time, it helps tremendously to register your passport with your embassy. This will eliminate the need to send telexes back to your home country to confirm that you really exist. Chinese visa is a permit issued to a foreigner by the Chinese visa authorities for entry into, exit from or transit through the territory of People's Republic of China. There are altogether 8 kinds of Chinese visa as following:
L visa This kind of visa is issued to foreigners who come to China for the purpose of traveling, family visiting or some other personal affairs.
F visa This kind of visa is issued to foreigners who are invited to China for the purpose of visiting, research, lecture, business, scientific-technological and cultural exchanges or short-term advanced studies or intern practice for a period of less than 6 months.
Z visa This kind of visa is issued to foreigners who come to China for the purpose the working.
X visa This kind of visa is issued to foreigners who come to China for the purpose of studying.
C visa This kind of visa is issued to crewmembers on international aviation, navigation and land transportation mission and family members accompanying them.
G visa This kind of visa is issued to foreigners who transit through China with a staying time of no more than 24 hours.
D visa This kind of visa is issued to foreigners who will reside permanently in China .
J-1 visa This kind of visa is issued to foreign correspondents who reside in China .
J-2 visa This kind of visa is issued to foreign correspondents that are on temporary interview mission in China .
