The first-stage construction of Xian Metro Line 2 will start test operation from 14:00 the 16th of September, 2011. Now the famous historical city is being more and more internationalized and developing into metro times.

During the test operation, fourteen electric subway trains will be put into use and four others for back-up. The first shuttle starts off at 6:30 am and the last one at 9:30 pm, with 10 minutes interval. It takes about 42 minutes to finish the test route of line 2 in one way trip.

The five stations for test operation are Zhang Jia Bao, Bei Da Jie (Grand North Avenue), Zhong Lou (Bell Tower), Xiao Zhai, Exhibition & Conference Center.
