Facilities and Service of Trains to Tibet
Once the train to Tibet runs through the section between Golmud and Lhasa, which is 960 kilometers long and 4500 meters above sea level, the amount of oxygen in the air is less and less, almost half of that in plain area. To solve the problem, oxygen supply system is equipped on the upper position of windows to maintain the consistency of oxygen so as to ensure the adequacy of oxygen in the atmosphere of carriage. Furthermore, oxygen masks are equipped near the seat of each passenger in case that anyone still feels uncomfortable. Highland is often suffered from strong sand storm and ultraviolet radiation, thus trains to Tibet has special air equipment which can prevent sand strike and ultraviolet hurt. Also, First-aid facilities are well provided so as to cope with something emergent.
