Xidi village
Xidi village is an ancient village in south Anhui. There are 124 ancient dwelling houses and 3 family temples at Ming and Qing Dynasty. In November 30, 2000, the village is enlisted into World Cultural Heritage.The residential houses of Xidi Village and the ox-shaped Hongcun Village are the most typical exhibition of the local architectural style: brick, wood and stone, carvings which display the ornateness and elegancy of the traditional 15th-16th century edifices. It is not only of historical and research value, as well as being tourist attractions. Therefore, it deserves to be called the museum of Ming and Qing Dynasty residential houses.
