Miss LiuSanjie
Miss LiuSanjie is a legendary singer of Guangxi Zhuang ethnic group, whose songs are passed down from generation to generation. She was a pretty and smart girl and had a good command of singing and weaving. Singers nearby and far away usually came by to learn from and exchange songs with her. Since she was born in a poor family, her songs usually express true feelings of the poor, which offended the interest of the landlord class. In order to get rid of Miss LiuSanjie, a rich man colluded with local government official to capture her. Finally the girl was forced to jump into the river.
Therefore, Miss LiuSanjie symbolizes wisdom and straightforwardness. A film named "Miss LiuSanjie" used to be popular very much in China. Now a large scale performance "Impression Miss LiuSanjie" vividly exhibits the classical folk songs of Miss LiuSanjie and various ethnic customs of Guangxi Autonomous Region, setting in the natural stage of Li River---water area which is two kilometers away from ShuTong Mountain in Yangshuo.
Rice Noodles
