      Sanya is located on the southern end of Hainan province, on a peninsula parallel to the coast and linked to the mainland. It takes up an area of 1,919 square kilometers with a population of 440,000.

It is the second largest island in China and an important political, economic, cultural and foreign trade port. In ancient times, it was regarded as the last border of heaven and the ending corner of the sea.

It is also a famous coastal tourist city with tropical landscapes: white sand, palm trees, warm sunshine and blue sea. Asian Dragon Bay and Tianya Haijiao are the best beaches of the city.

The night market of this city is vigorously enchanting with seafood, stores selling all kinds of weird and wonderful wares, including smuggled goods from Vietnam as well as huge tea warehouses.
