            The city of Kaifeng is also on the list of the country's seven largest ancient capitals. It is located on the alluvial plains in the middle reaches of the Yellow River. Kaifeng covers an area of 319 square kilometers and is inhabited by a population of 4.6 million.

Kaifeng is an ancient capital with a history dating back over three thousand years. Due to its long and proud history, Kaifeng has a lot to show to  tourists. The tourists will have a chance to see the Daxiangguo Temple, the place in which one will have the chance to see the "Xiangguo Frost Bell", one of the Eight beautiful sceneries of Kaifeng; the Memorial Temple of Lord Bao, a temple to pay homage to Lord Bao, one of the most famous official in Chinese history; the Iron Tower, which is regarded as the first tower in the world and so on.
