      Hohhot, the provincial capital city of Inner Mongolia, is situated in the central area of autonomous region. "Hohhot", in Mongolian means a city in green.

Hohhot plays an important role in China's economic construction and is the bridge of the economic trade contacts with various countries of Eastern Europe . Hohhot has a long history and profound cultural background. Since the Warring States Period when the city was built and Qin period when the prefecture was set up, Hohhot has had a history of more than 2,000 years.

Hohhot is a city with distinct ethnic characteristic and numerous scenic spots and historical sites. Of more than 50 temples, the most famous ones are called Dazhao, Xilituzhao, Wusutuzhao and Lamadongzhao. Zhaojun (a beautiful ancient woman) Tomb is also worth visiting.
