Shenyang is situated in the center of Liaoning peninsula in the southern part of northwest China, neighboring Bohai Sea to the south and Changbai Mountain to the northeast. It covers an area of 8,515 square kilometers with a population of 6.73 million.
As one of China's main industrial centers, Shenyang has abundant resources, such as coal, petroleum, iron, limestone, marble and natural gas. It is a major concentration and distribution center for goods and materials in North-east China as well as key communication hub of railways and road transport center in Liaoning Province . The biggest civil airport provides service to over 40 cities at home and abroad.
It is the Manchu capital from 1625 to 1644. Shenyang Imperial Palace of Manchurian style is regarded as the miniature of the Forbidden City in smaller scale. Total:
