Baotu Spring

Baotu SpringBaotu Spring, with a history of more than 2,600 years is known as the best of the 72 springs in Jinan and the "First Spring in China". It is located in Baotu Spring Park southwest of Jinan downtown area, with Daming Lake and Quancheng Square nearby. Throughout history, Baotu Spring Park is the place for talk-show and local opera performance.

The spring sounds thunderous when water bursts out through three outlets with water columns surging upward, looking like spinning wheels.  Due to Jinan's special geographical condition, the spring water keeps its temperature at about 18 degree centigrade all year round with pure quality and mellow taste, thus it could be used directly for drinking. The water is also highly valued for making tea. To the east of Baotu Spring, there is a sweet teahouse situated within the "Watching Crane Pavilion."
