Climate:
Lhasa is close to the border of Nepal and China , on the northern flanks of the Himalayas and 3,600 meters from the banks of Lhasa River . Due to the heavy snowfall and poor weather conditions, this area is fairly inaccessible for tourists between December and January. August is the rainy season. The hottest month is June, with high temperature of 22
C. The sunshine can be very strong. The coldest time is January when temperatures can drop to -10
C.
