Tour Code : PAC-30 Beijing-Xian-Shanghai Train Tour
Dear Cathy
I am writing to you to thank you for arranging our trip to Xian during our recent travel in China. The train journey from Beijing to Xian was surprisingly comfortable in the deluxe comfort sleeper car, although the lounge/dining car was a surprise when well over 100 people arrived about half an hour out of Beijing and appeared to spend the night there. Fortunately we had eaten before they arrived.
We were met at Xian by Anna, who was an excellent guide. The hotel you booked us into was first rate and a shower and freshen up after the train journey was most welcome. Anna then guided us to a silk factory and then on to the Terra Cotta Warriors which were absolutely stunning. As we were feeling quite tired, we missed visiting the museum, but Anna took us to dinner and then a cultural show in the evening.

The following day we had a welcome sleep in and then spent a leisurely few hours wandering through a nearby market and Temple which was most interesting. Anna picked us up from the hotel to take us to the train on time and waited for us in the station until it was time to board the train. She then escorted us on the train to our cabin before farewelling us. The train journey to Shanghai was a little uncomfortable because we were sharing the cabin with a gentleman and his young son. Both were quite delightful, but it made the cabin seem quite small as we had quite a lot of luggage with us.
I have told our travel agent in Australia of our experience with you and recommended that she look to use your services in the future. We were greatly impressed with Anna. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and met our needs very well. Please pass on our appreciation to her. I have attached a photo of her with my wife Jill which was taken in Xian station.
